Default Brand New here

Hello all. I am a fairly new owner of a 1998 Neon. I traded in a 2001 Taurus on it because it, the Taurus, was nickel and diming me to death. I really like the Neon. It is a peppy little car, with good pick up. It has great gas mileage too. I have been averaging almost 27 miles a gallon. I do have one question though. Are there any places that this particualr year developed ordevelops oil leaks? It appears that I may have developed a leak in mine. I have 65k miles one mine and I am the second owner. The first owner took fantastic care of the car. I am thinking that it may be the oil pan itself, either the gasket or a small hole in the pan itself. Help.

neons have a head gasket problem

although the 98 neons already have the MLS (Multi Layered Steal) head gasket

look at the topics posted by the mods at the top of hte page and use the search bar at the bottom to see if your question has already been asked by someone else
which it already has

Only the later built 99's got the MLS HG on the car. Other's may have had it changed under warranty.
