Default Bobble Strut Construction

I have drawn up a bobble strut I made in Machining class if anyone would like to save it.

i did it in CAD but i couldn't upload the file so i screenshot and saved it as a JPG... hope everyone can see it ok

The body is reamed out to allow a slug to be pressed in and welded that way the whole body doesn't need to be tapped...

i just turned the body down today, i have to drill it out and mill for the slug

ill post pictures of the pieces before getting welded, i have to have it done for friday so it won't be too long

Like i said i already had the body turned down.. but heres me maken the slug to be welded in so i can have threads in the body



heres the strut im making next to the one that was on my car, the little round piece is the threaded slug that get welded into the body



and heres how it will go together



Tomorrow i will have the bottom end completed and probably welded, i have to have it to install this weekend so ill update this later
