my bad , i figured it was exhaust b/c they were all rusty.... my bad..

SPUD : btw , i noticed a tube running from the bottom drivers side to where the battery tray goes... theres some kind of sensor with two wires running to it , and its not attached to anything... any idea what this is...

I believe Neons have a battery tray temperature sensor, used to more accurately gauge battery charge as a function of temperature.

correct the sensor by the batt tray is the batt temp sensor

The tube is a battery vent to get fresh air and the other is your battery temp sensor as stated.

my tube is gone and the sensor is unplugged....had to do it so i could cut the front of the battery tray off for the intake

so this isnt going to screw anything up then....and i can remove all that and make a ram air to go in place of it?

did you get a check engine light by cutting the sensor , or no?

Yes you can.

You won't get a CEL, but your battery light may pop on.

lol... i think ill just duct tape it down... i dont want any crazy *** battery light on , seeing as how my ground terminal is loose....

then again i could just fix the loose terminal....but i probably wont...

dont think it is your head gasket it would over heat or have like milk in your oil and some times it would spit and spudder really bad or it would have white under oil cap is it kicking a check engine code?
