Default Head Gasket?

I have what I believe is engine oil in my radiator, but I don't have water in my oil. How could this have happened? I thought that it might be a head gasket problem but I don't have the time or money for that right now. I was hoping that it might be something else. Thanks.

when the head gasket goes out you wont always have one in the other and visa-versa......just one fluid being in the other could be the gasket....depends on how bad it is

the wifes grandma has a neon that had a headgasket problem awhile back......every time that it started acting up she would stop and use a turkey baster to get the oil out of the radiator cap.....then she would just keep on trucking......she did this for almost 75,000 miles until it blew the timing belt and needed a new motor

Other than the head gasket, is there any other way for oil to get into the water? I flushed the radiator today and the oil came right back. The guy that helped me flush the radiator said that it could be the water pump leaking. How in the hell does this happen, or is he full of complete ****? Also, if I do have to change the head gasket, what else should I do while I'm in there? I figured the timing belt and the belt tensioner is a must. Anything else?

the water pump

when mine blew the belt was shredded and a huge chunk of the pulley of the pump was shattered off
we saw that it was leaking mainly out of the water pump which sucked bad...

so just go ahead and change the pump/gaskests/belts if he is saying the pump is leaking

whats what im doing in less than a month so my car can live again

Just be glad they added the stuff so you could actually taste the antifreeze-normally the glycols smell like sweet candy.
