2.0 SOHC head on a 2.4 block
someone told me this is possible and the head and block will match right up. if so, how much more horsepower/torque would i gain with a 2.4 block?? cause i still want to use my fully rebuilt SOHC head, if it aint, ill just go ahead rebuild my block and get my turbo in.
"The SOHC cylinder head is only used on the 2.0 SOHC. The DOHC Neon shares a cylinder head with the 2.4. The Avenger/Sebring/Eclipse 2.0 DOHC head is unique and has reversed flow."

Isn't the 2.4 a DOHC? DOHC is better than SOHC, you almost always get more power with a DOHC cylinder head.

well my SOHC head is already fully rebulit so guess ill go ahead and send my block to the machine shop and get bored out for my rods and pistons...hoping for mid 12s in the quarter mile with about 15psi.. its a .45 trim turbo..can hold 25psi and 400hp
oh well...sucks that i have a SOHC then...ill still be quick as hell...mabye turn the boost up if i want more power...on top of the 75shot of nitrous
