Hey babe i finly figured out how to get on here. So anywayz last night he checked the engine light n did the count thing...n the number came out as 12 n we read what the problem is...but we don't understand what it means..or what exactly is wrong with it. It said somthin like somethin was dissconnected from then battery in the last 50 times we tryed startin the car[&:]. I don't know he can prob explain better...

ok wait i jus read like all the replys n relized someone had mentioned that number yesterday n said it meant that the battery or pcm was reset....if thats the case then how do u fix it? is it really hard[&:]? n would that acually cause the car not to start/even click over?

it doesnt make a difference, its just letting you know it was disconnected

It will not cause the car to not start. It should go away after time. Its just a wierd way of telling you, that you have reset the PCM.

It just means the battery has been disconnected recently. Make sure all the connections to the battery and starter are clean and secure.

well the battery works for everythin else in the car...we jus hooked up a new starter....n when we try to start the car the gasket valve makes a niose like it wants to start but the starter still doesnt even turn over!

Just because the battery turns on the interior stuff, doesn't mean it has enough juice to crank the car up. That is why I suggested to check the connections and make sure they are secure. Have you tried jumping it?

No we have not tried jumping it. the battery is fully charged(new) and the connections seem good and secure, the only noise is a little clicking.

Its gotta be the altenator, go to autozone or somplace where they check it for free.

You drain the battery though by continuing to crank the car, just a thought. Next step, would be the alternator.
