Nope, stock block can hold 7psi w/o a problem.

well the guys at modern performance told me the stock rods and pistons wouldnt last much longer with a turbo installed..im confused....[&:]

if you run 5-7 psi on stock internals you should be safe...ive heard of people running 10 with out any problems but i wouldnt go over 10 ever...on stock interns

for the op if you look at a sticky at the top it has a price guide and parts guide for an srt 4 turbo setup which would probably run the same for any DIY turbo setup i think anyway

Back in '99 Len Ayala's turbod neon ran in the low 13's with the Hahn Stage II turbo on a completely stock engine.

wow.... but i bet his car didnt have 158k miles on the engine either....i want to run like 15psi anyway but i cant find a machine shop around here for nothing to do the block work!

Move to a city, lol

Try phoning to the nearest machine shop, even if it is couple hours drive. Guys from here in Winnipeg, drive to Calgary, thats good 1800-2000km Id estimate, to get an engine swap done.

If your serious about machining and turbo'ing, you'll take the drive lol

there are atleast 4-5 shops within a 15min. drive of me that do the machine work

i live in Charlotte, NC lol...a big city and very easy to get lost...even after being here for 2yrs[:'(] there are a few performance shops around here, i guess ill go check them out and see what machine shops they deal with. most likely ill just wait for the rebuild and turbo charge the engine thats in there now...spud, lemme know how things work out for you

i will deffinately, if i dont blow up this motor when i start driving it then i will be amazed.....but in the mean time i plan on building up one of the spares that i have sitting around
