Default Major oil leakages!!!

I have a major oil leak from the oil plug on the oil pan. Another leak, don't know where, but the tranny oil is everywhere on the bottm of my car. Any idea's where that leak might be coming from. Yes i see both oils... i know the difference between the two atlest on how the would look. thanks

check the rear mail seal...the gasket between the engine and tranny. that gave me trouble a while back. you will have to drop the tranny to replace that gasket though.

Yes it can be done with a Haynes manual. Might need 2 people when it comes time to aligning the trans. up again with the clutch, but other than that, very do able in a weekend.

the leak from oil pan is easy, you just need a 2 dollar gasket.

i have rear main seal leak as well and just check/add oil regularly not fatal, that's for sure, just VERY messy.

my oil pan gasket cost about 20.00.....

removing the tranny is real easy if you can get your hands on a cherry picker......just jack up the front of the car and put it on jack stands....then remove everything from around the tranny, and bolt up the picker.....then lower it through the bottom of the car and slide it out

Another problem may be your "Oil Pressure Switch" which is located behind the ingine, under ex-manifold, right-hand side.
be sure to check that too.

As far as tranny..., check n make sure your axles are secure within the transaxle & check seals on both sides of it as well.[sm=smiley20.gif]
