Default Disconnect air bag?

The air bag light is on, in my now $2000 ($1476 in repairs) neon, and i dont want it fixed, so how do i cut power to the pos?
I had also found in the recall history or something like it, that in the 97 year neons, the airbag could deploy when u turn off the ignition. Its at consumerguide.com.

I found the airbag disconnect info somewhere else, but i cant find the site now...

Im also having trouble with the speedometer, i pulled the gauge cluster out, and there is ALOT of what i can only hope to be dieletric grease in there (p1/p2). If the problem is not in the gauge cluster, what is?

Look up top for possible answers to your speedometer problem.

If you don't want to look at the airbag light, just pull the bulb out of the cluster.

yeah, i already pulled the cluster out, and the air bag light is also out
I still hafta check the solder points, that the picture indicated.
on another note, i noticed the low fuel lightbuld wasnt there, does my base model(from what i can tell anyways) have that option?

oh any of you guys know a good spot to run some 2ga. powere wire thru the firewall?

After getting the head gasket done, she runs real nice, almost as fast as the Porsche! I think ill get a lowering kit, shes got body roll in the twistys...

Thanks

lol I just finished puttin my 2 ga thru the fire wall. if you look at the engine bay, behind the drivers side strut mount there should b a huge bundle of wires goin thru a hole with a rubber protectant around the whole. lol I dunno wat to call the rubber thing =x. anyway if you look under the dash all the way up on the left you'll see it. hope you understood ;]

if the car is an auto then run the wire like stated....if the car is an auto, then there is another rubber grommet in the firewall that has nothing in it....its just a big black plug....

i ran 0-gauge power wire through the grommet with the bundle of wires without any problems

alright rock on, ill take a look for that body plug, and then ill remove the center console, to check for that plug to disconnect the air bag doodad.

I got a pair of rockford fosgate p2 punches going in, its gonna be louder than hell. Anyone got a link or know the proper way to remove the door panels, and rear deck? My speakers sound like they are being fed liquid crap. Whats the deal with the two holes on top of the dashboard, what size speakers drop in there? Which of the wire harness' is for them? There are two, one with a red plug and one with a black plug.

Thanks

to remove the rear deck you have to take out the back seat.....pull up the bottom cushin....there are 2 torx bolts that hold in the seat back...i think they are t-55....then there are are 2 hooks...just lift the seat back up to unhook them......then just pull the back deck carpet off....

the holes in the dash....some have speakers and some dont.....they are 3.5in.

Get some sway bars, Eibach Lowering Springs and Koni's and enjoy the handling.
