Default Dome Light and Chime

Just after my stereo got stolen out of my Neon the chime and Dome light stopped working. Is there any wires behind the stereo that the thiefs may have screwed up while stealing my stereo? Or could this just be a coincidence? Do these two items even go together or is it two independent problems?

I think that I found my problem, the stock stereo has a wire (black/yellow) that goes to the light switch according to the Haynes Manual. I think that when they yanked the stereo out so hard and fast that they broke the connection between the stereo and the switch. Does this sound reasonable? I've checked all my fuses and am stuck, this is my last resort, then I'm hard wiring it with my own switch.

I checked the door jam switches and they seem to be working properly. I can't even turn the dome light on with the switch on the dash. I gonna try the black/yellow wire tonight.
