ok well after taking off the resivour i looked down at the belt and it looks like its only half of what its supposed to be. looks like the other half has been shreaded off. is the belt supposed to cover the WHOLE pulley or just half of it? aka is it only one belt thats supposed to be on the alt.

 

The entire belt should be on your pulley, if your alt belt is looking thin then most likely your shaving some of your belt off, probably on start up, periodically during driving, or when The A/C or heat is being ran. This could be due to the belt not being tight enough, bolts not tight enough, alt could be going bad, or the pulley it's self going bad ( Bad Bearings ) if you can try to get it fixed soon, once your alt belt goes your gona run straight off the battery and that suck it dry, Good Luck !!

 

yea i just got the new belt...but it looks the same width its strange...but going to be installing it now and then taking it to autozone to have them test the alt.
