In dash DVD player?
I am looking for any ideals on were to put an in dash dvd player, while using the original radio place for an after market deck? I was thinking of taking out my vents and making a place out of fiberglass. Is there any possibilities of this causing more problems in the long run? Oh yeah i have a 1996 neon 2dr
Thanks

they have in-dash dvd player in walmart for like $400, they got a 7' motorized flip out touch screen....getting that might save you some work and a headache. im actually picking one up tomorrow
i used to have a 7" screen mounted in the dash where the vents were......i took out the vents, covered up the vent duct....cut the vents out of the dash and trimmed it up a little.....and glued the screen in there
then i mounted a PS2 where the glovebox used to be with some homemade brackets....
it would be easier to get the fold out screen though

I have both a in Dash motorized DVD player and a aftermarket cd player, I find the cd player beter souding to listen to music and I like the DVD player for watchin gmovies and other ****, soooooo I need a way to put both of them in there but still make it look fairily decent. My old truck just had 2 holes one on top of the other so I just put my DVD player under my cd player but now that I baught the neon there is only one hole for a cd player.

why not make a pod on top of the dash out of fiberglass above the vents and us the flip up screen type in that? i would think it would be only about 3 inches tall and 8 inches wide with a concealed face. i think that would look sick imo.
only problem with that is if you have it on when driving(for music purposes of course) there will be an awfully bright light in you face....and it would be kinda hard to see out the window(due to a 7 inch screen in the way)
