Default Windshield cleaning: There has GOT to be a trick

I've tried way too many glass cleaning products for my own good, and the inside of my windshield simply will NOT get clean. The film on it will move around just fine, but that is about it. Depending on the lighting you may or may not see it, but it definitely appears to encourage severe fogging that is utterly resistant to even the most absorbent of cloths/towels/whatever... This has been one of those things that has bugged me personally for at least a decade (even before I owned a car).

So what is the trick? I can almost always get an actual clean spot (always small) in the window, but never the whole thing. Is this a matter of buying a few bags of cotton ***** and using 1 per swipe until the damn window is clean? Because that seems to be what I am looking at. Whatever is on that window is absolutely resistant to everything. Should I try rubbing alcohol? Seriously, I am open to almost anything now...

soak it with windex then take a flat razor...just a razor blade...not a box cutter... and scrape it to one side whether you go left to right or top to bottomw or whatever
try that first then let us know

use a cleaner with amouna and this will sound strange but use news paper to wipe it down with, some papers use cheep ink and will run, just keep trying till you find one that dosn't. it's a trick i got from a lady who has had a house cleaning company for years and it works great, just if the film is bad let the cleaner sit for a min or two to sofen it up

lacquer thinner or alcohol if its really bad, but you have to be careful of fumes Vs. static inside the car, keep the defrost blowing to clear the fumes out, i had my inside of my windsheild on fire doin that with lacquer thinner, but it was clean as it'll ever getDONt get it on anything inside the car, especially thinner it'll melt the plastic dash or discolor it, if you have film window tint then use soapy water and scrub it

Stoners Invisible Glass and newspaper works for me. Don't use the color adds though, only the black and white stuff. I've used it on all my vehicles and it has never failed. I had a S15 Jimmy that had a leak in the heater core and every time I tried to use the heater, steam shot out on the window. After about 3 days of that the window got a nice oily glaze on it, but the Invisible Glass and newspaper cleaned it right off. Use one piece of newspaper to clean and one to dry. That works the best for me. Oh yeah, you can get Invisible Glass at walmart or any store like that. Hope this helps.
