Can i take my engine out of my 97 dOHC and put it in my 95 SOHC??
Or can i take my 95 SOHC tranny oout and stuff it in the 97 DOHC?

which one would be less expensive and how hard is it??What will i need?

 

you can do either. if you take out the 97 DOHC engine you'll need to replace the 95 pcm wit the 97 PCM along wit the wiring harness. wat tranny are you swappin? are they auto or manual? ATX to MTX? I personally would rather take out the engine then the tranny....but I've heard its alot easier to take out both so I dunno bout which one is easier. if you're doin your own work I doubt it would cost you anything dependin on wats been done on the engine...timing belt, water pump, serp. belts. etc

 

all thats been done in the engine a year ago. Its an automatic in both.

 

so who's doin the work? takin it to a shop or you doin it all yourself?

 

were going to do it ourselves

 

it would be alot easier to just swap the tranny.....
otherwise your looking at alot of other junk that would need to be changed
