well my 98 neon is having problems spark plug 3 and 4 had oil drippng off them when i pulled them off last night thought it was valve cover pan gaskets but replaced all of them and still getting how do i tell if its valve seals or piston rings or something worse because i am losing power ang mpg HELP ME

 

most likely just your spark plug tubes...replace those as well as your valve cover gasket. should fix it...if not then it could be the rings.

 

where is the oil? if its on the tip of the the plug is something internal, rings most likely. If the oil is around the boot or in the plug tubes then it is most likely the o-rings on the spark plug tubes

 

where is the oring on the tubes is at the bottom or what well the is oil all the over its like on the bottom of the boot till about the middle and all over thespark plug except where the boot is on it
