Default Low RPM & Full throttle, Stutter problem

Hey Folks, I dig my Neon, but Ive recently been having some problems. The first is at low RPMs it really struggles, bogs and hicoughs. As the Rs go higher its fine. My first reaction was fuel filter, but I would have assumed higher Rs would be the problem there. Any thoughts?

Second problem; A little while ago, I went over a railroad tracks. My radio when crackle and stopped working. The CD/Mp3 part still works, but when I turn my car off the backlight stays on. I double checked my install to ,make sure I hadn't screwed up and left a loose wire, but its all soldered and capped and good to go. So it sounds like a short somewhere in the harness; has anyone run into this one before?

Third Problem I think is fixed and is one I was reading a couple of you had; a shorted wire by the Alternator/O2 sensor harness causes fuel pump to blow fuses. I hope that fixed it cause it was getting to be a big problem.

my Neon bogs down at lower RPMs...i blame the cloged cat.... when i first changed my fuel filter it helped out a little but then it soon came back...and then when i installed my CAI it stopped hesitating for like 2 months...then it came back... and has stayed.

Hi guys. I'm having the same hesitating, coughing, bogging down problems with my 97 Neon sport DOHC ATX. It happens mainly when I'm idling in drive at stop lights. I haven't been using higher octane gas lately because of the cost could that be it or maybe the fuel filter? I recently changed the upstream o2 sensor and the spark plugs.

You know, i'm not sure. My mechanic changed them will he had the car. I'll have to check. Would the wrong kind of plugs cause this? What brand should I use?

Thanks,
jeff

well platinum plugs could cause some problems... and OEM Champions are the best for the Neon along with i think NGK (NKG?)(?)

Well the spark plugs they used are OEM Champions. They are gapped correctly too. Any other ideas? The only code its throwing is for the torque converter clutch.
