Default Intake tube

i pulled off the intake tube to check on the t/b, and i when i pulled it out, i noticed there was a secondtube on the bottom that points downward and is closed on the end. What is this for? i was thinking of taking my dremel and cutting the end off, i dont see a problem with this, but i thought i would ask before i go cut off wheel crazy.

It could be worse and far more stupid, if you had a Cavalier or Sunbird you would find an entire maze of useless and pointless plastic tubing that runs from the bottom of the air box todown below the radiator core support and back up in front of the radiator core support in a U shape that is completely closed off and serves no function or purpose other than to waste black plastic and charge someone more money for it.[sm=icon_beat.gif]

That useless plastic tube was there as a sort of resonator. Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler had to sell their cars to appeal to a variety of ppl not jus the ones that wan their cars loud lol. I dunno how much of a diff that small peice actually does but I've seen sum wit like 3 diff chambers. I'm pretty sure its louder now. my car seems louder an I have a custom CAI. no lil random tubes goin all over the place.
