what is the most mileage that anyone has gotten from their neon. i currently dance around 32 and i have added a cold air intake and one of those fuel line magnets. i was thinking about installing headers, a downpipe without a cat, and a higher flowing muffler, possibly even disabling the pcv and egr systems. does anybody have experience with this? thanks for the input. i have a 96 with an auto tranny.

 

43.67 on preium 99 rt 5 speed with cold air, tb, header, underdrive pullies and super afc

 

S-afc is the key word here. you mess with the emissions system , you will run pig rich and will need the safc to "take away" fuel. currently, i am at 22-23 mpg.

yea its pulling about 3% to 4% from 800 rpms all the way 7500rpms

 

on my Neon i get about 38mpg...and thats after 242,000 miles of running... so thats pretty good if u ask me

 

i average about 20mpg....sumtimes less...and on very rare occasions, maybe 25mpg

plus there is alot of stoping and goin for work
