try wiggling it back and forth when your pulling it out.....if it doesnt work then try turning the wheel all the way to the laft and then pull it out....sumtimes you have to be kinda rough on it and just force them out

I got it off. I didnt realize it was in gear, so i popped it in neutral and just turned the axle and pried a few times and it came out. I got the tranny off... looks like my rear main seal is bad, the bell housing is covered in oil.

is there any way to tell whether the oil in my bell housing is actually coming from the tranny or the rear main seal? If it were coming from the transmission what seal would need to be replaced? Im pretty sure it came from the engine, but the fly wheel didnt look too oily, and the rear main seal looks pretty good. Im going to replace that seal anyway, just because if its not bad now, its bound to go bad sooner or later. also I think that might be where my oil has been leaking to because my car has been losing oil lately.

by the way, when i got my clutch out.. it was exploded. all the rivets that hold the disc together were busted out and laying in the pressure plate, some of the springs on the disk were broken, one of them was actually turned so it was perpendicular to the disc. ive never seen anything quite like that...

wow...sounds like you need a new clutch....j/k

chances are the oil is from the RMS...not the tranny...
you cant really tell if a seal is bad by looking at it.....
