Default Fan Relay

I have a 96 neon and i been having problems with the fan relay. I've tried swappin ecu's and running through the miles of wires to find a bad ground with no luck. I did however find a electric fan relay that runs directly from the temp sensor to the fan. Wanted to know has anyone tried this method and if it would work?

so...the relay thats in it now keeps popping.? It could be problem elsewhere causing it to pop, like a bad fan motor.I thought as it sat now..it goes from the temp sensor, to the relay, to the fan.?

An easy thing you could do is turn the fan over with your hand just to make sure it turns freely. Then maybe a voltmeter test, to see what its drawing.Thats all I can think of for now...good luck..let us know what you find..

It runs throught the ecu that sends a signal to actuate the fan to run at a certain temp. What I'd like to do is take the ecu out othe equation. Just to be clear this is a link to what i found so farhttp://www.teamc.com/index.asp?PageA...amp;ProdID=264
