Default airbag light

i just put my wrecked neon back together with new bags and a clockspring. the impact sensors seemed to be fine, so they were not replaced. by the way, i am talking about a 96 plymouth neon sport. anyway, after i put the battery back on, and turn the ignition to on, and all of the lights light up, setabelt, check engine, airbag, oil, etc, and then they turn off when the vehicle starts. all of the lights stay off except for the airbag light which comes on about 5 seconds later. does anyone else have experience with these cars, do i need to replace the control module too? i did a 95 the same way, jsut new bags and a clockspring, and had no issues. any ideas? thanks

also, i should let you know that i am unable to scan for codes... my scanner is only supposed to work for up to 95, but it still read all of my sensors and things like that without telling me any error codes. i have a simple obdII cose reader that didn't pick up any codes either. any special procedure for reading airbag codes without spending a lot of money at the dealership? thanks again.

The dealer can clear the light for free. If not, just pull the bulb out.

umm I wouldnt suggest pulling the bulb, if its coming BACK on after the system tests ok (thats why the light goes out right?) but then comes back on something must be wrong, you may get into a head on collision and the airbags may not deploy, get it checked out. And if something is faulty they could go off in your face. Both fuses are good? (pretty sure there are 2, 1 for each AB)
