i have some options
ok so i was thinking about it the other day and realized that i have some options....
A) sell the turbo and all components then build up a high compression 2.4 to the max
B) keep the turbo and get a 2.4 and swap in the stock srt4 internals
C) get rid of the turbo and completely build the 2.0
now money is an option...
but im having a hard time deciding which will give me more power....mostly A or B

RE: i have some options
my advice to you is to keep the turbo and do what im doing....just get the bottom end rebuild for the 2.0 with forged pistons....$1099 for the kit, maybe an extra $200 to get the machine shop to bore out your block and install the pistons..or just do what u said, the 2.4 swap with srt4 internals. either way your car will be able to handle alot more boost and will be alot faster than an all-motor 2.4

hey Spud. I was plannin on gettin buildin a high compression 2.4 too. cept I dun got the cash to do it lol so I'm waitin but until then I'm contemplatin on wat engine I wanna work on...2.0 or the 2.4 appearantly they'd both have the same outcome is wat I've heard from alot of ppl. I dunno bout eryone else but I like NA motors...for now. =D

get prices and compare. to me, the 2.0 buildup would come out cheaper even with buying the bottom end rebuild kit. if you already have the turbo, then the expensive parts are out of the way. i too am building a "budget build" and you really dont want to skimp on the important stuff. stock 2.0 will hold 10 psi on a good tune. thats good for 13.0 and lower. save the cash and when your ready, buy the rebuild kit. then carnk up the boost to 20+. my advise, stay with the 2.0, if god wanted a 2.4 in a neon, it would have came from the factory with it.

Lol Dont guess! Know it will work, like dazzellerr said, if it was meant to be it would be. "All the honda guys are swapping" Be different and dont swap =P Save up Do what im planning on doing, Go to the machine shop that specializes in motors, and have them order you the pistons, It should be cheaper because they may not order NEON pistons mabye something different like some funky saab pistons or something(NOT SAYING SAAB PISTONS WORK IN A NEON)! You never know. Dink around! but for sure keep the turbo.
