i hope your not talking about E85.

i used to have a 95 mitsubishi galant 2.4 and i used to work offshore and i would get gallons of 100% methanol (liquid methane, and alcohol) and i would put about 12 oz in with a tank of gas and it worked pretty good it cleaned the fuel lines and injectors and also rids any water you might have in the gas. i also used this in my 79 pontiac trans am with a 6.6ltr 455 only i would add a gallon in with a tank and not only did it clean everything it boosted hp and shot pretty blue flames out the exaust

HAHAHAHAHA my friend Ethanol is corn alcahol. Alachol absorbs water thats why flex fuel parts cost so much more. Methanol is another form of alcohol. Therefore it is water absorbant. Another thing, ethanol doesn't have the same potential chemical energy as gasoline. So I would have to say that is a lie.

no its not a lie im being completly honest actucally they use a form of methanol in top fuel drag cars it burns quite nicely although during the day time u cant see the flame if burned alone and i did use it in my car and had no problems i wouldnt recommend using too much however because it will dry your seals and gaskets out and that can get pretty costly but if your engine is set up to use alcohol fuel you can us as much as u want

[sm=bs.gif]The '79 Trans Am came with 2 different 6.6L engines, the 400 Pontiac or the 403 Oldsmobile engines, the 455 was NEVER an optionthat year or any of the years surrounding '79 and is far larger than 6.6 liters (the 455 is actually 7.5L). The '79 Trans Am with the shaker hood scoop with 6.6 litre on it were the 403 Olds engines which are boat anchors with only 185 whopping horsepower and the ones that had T/A 6.6 on the scoop were the 400 Pontiac engines with 220 horsepower.
