Like the topic says, I have a 1997 DOHC coupe model, runs good when started, runs good for a bit after being at running temp.... But then it will just die, its happend to me a few times. If i let it cool down a little it will start up and then do the same thing...Ive been told it was the coil pack? so i changed it out with another one (was from a used car) and it still died out after runing for about 45 min or so... Any ideas? its my winter car and i need it to get to work etc.. Thanks for your inpute guys!

 

Fuel pump overheating. It's common on the earlier neons. How much gas in the tank? Does it happen when there is a full tank?

 

It has 3/4 a tank full, i think it was around the same last time it happened to me... I am gonna assume the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank? And what those usually go for?

 

Yep, its in the tank and I haven't priced one recently.
