cant get old fuel pump off
I have a 98 neon, am trying to change out the fuel pump, I have a haynes manual but this pump has a plastic ring around it that fastens it to the tank, any ideas how to get it off, anyone seen one like it??? Help

all neons wth plastic tanks have those rings..
use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer......place the head of the screwdriver on one of the ridges on the ring and hit it lightly with the hammer and go counterclockwise....
slowly the ring will move....it just unscrews....removing it is the easy part....reinstalling it is when you will have fun[&:]
