ok so my trunk wont open at all. with the key or the lever inside the car. how would i get it open and should i replace it?

 

Is the trunk simply not wanting to open or it won't open with the latch being pulled? Over time you have to adjust the two black ***** on your trunk lid cause they tend to push the liner down...But if it wont open at all, Im not for sure right now

 

well hopefuly you dont have subs in the trunk if not fold the seats down and climb in the trunk have someone pull the lever while you push up on the trunk lid

if not grab a flashlight and a set of sockets and climb back in and remove the few bolts that hold the latch on i think their 10 mm the part you may not have to replace just lube it up it will be hooked to the trunk lid at this point watch and make sure you remove the cable too before you force it open

your trunk may need to be adjusted which is why mine is a bit sticky when i try to open it

but seeing how you live in a cold climate it could just be frozen shut. park it in the sun on a warm day or in a garage with a heater
