Either the cheap stock plugs which are Champion coppers or NGK copper plugs. Stay away from split-fire or platinum plugs, they are a waste of money on the neon.
I bought the Bosch Platinum's with the double and I gained about 2 mpg on that...I dont have much science behind it, but I dont think the platinum's are a waste really?

Yes they are since they still need to be changed every 10,000 miles. Maybe the 2 mpg more was because you had fresh plugs in there. Did you consider that?
All I have ever used in the neon is bosch supers. They are very cheap and are great plugs, I think I only paid $1.49 a plug at auto zone, ngk copper plugs are great too, but much more expensive. I will always stick with the supers though, my friend.
