Default Weatherstripping on driver's door

Hi all! New to the forum here as I just got a 1996 Neon with 58k on it. The only real problem I've noticed other than the headlights is that the weatherstripping on the bottom of the driver's door is coming off. It appears that it is attached to the door with plastic fasteners that go through the weatherstripping and into the door and some of them are broken/missing. Here's my question:

Does anyone know where to get either the plastic fasteners or the weatherstripping or both? I've searched online and the only thing I can seem to find is the window weatherstripping.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Jim

Try a junkyard....probably your best bet.

Love the avatar and welcome to the forums.

you should just need the strip.....the fasteners most of the time just rip right through it

das, spud, thanks for the help. I will try the junkyard as soon as it gets warmer. Its about 1 degrees out!![sm=insomnia.gif]So, I'll wait. A couple of the plastic clips are missing. I'm thinking about some two-sided tape as a temporary fix.

If you find them in the next couple of months, let me know. I'd be interested in buying them![sm=signs003.gif]

There are weatherstrip glues avalable that should hold the strip on. "Permatex" makes one called "yellow super weatherstrip adhesive" pn #80BRor Adhesive - Super weatherstrip(Permatex weatherstrip Cement)pn #80S.

I'm sure there are lots of other brands around too.
