Default sohc head swap

ok i have a 99 neon rt with a dohc in it and im going to swap a sohc head on it to get the higher compression i kno i need the head and the pcm and all that a smaller timing belt and all that but i was wondering could i use the intake off of my dohc or would i have to get on for a sohc

youll need the sohc parts but its not that great an idea your power will about even out

oh i though cuz it had higher compression it would be faster then what i got now but its ok ill just save my money for my turbo

its a good way for the sohc guys to bump up to the dohc but the only thing i can see that swap for you being good is if you like to race road course, backroad, or autocross. as far as straight away power your better off with the dohc

The DOHC head flows MUCH better than the SOHC head. Keep the DOHC!!!!
