Because it's pretty to look at. You always know when there is a Mercedes or BMW coming up behind you in the dark because of the look of the headlights.

High Intensity Discharge. It provides a bluer and brighter look from the headlights.

I have heard good things about those lights. Light output is supposed to be great but they won't look like the "real" projectors lights.

i have the halo healights on my neon they were decently easy to install and the light output is really fine imo and it gives your neon a special diffrent look so it stands out more

HID HEADLIGHTS GIVE OUT A CRISP AND CLEAR LIGHT. THEY DON'T LOOK YELLOW ITS A CLEAR WHITE LIGHT. YOU CAN GET THEM OFF EBAY FOR LIKE 150 ALLTHE WAY UP TO 3,000 DOLLARS. THEY ARE ALL PRETTY MUCH BUILT THE SAME ALL YOU ARE GONNA PAY FOR IS THE NAME BRAND. AS FAR AS ( APC XENON REPLACEMENT BULBS GO) I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR MELTING HEADLIGHT HARNESSES AND LIGHTING CARS ON FIRE. THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT YOUR CARS HEADLIGHT HARNESS IS ONLY MADE TO PUT OUT LIKE 45 WATTS LOWBEAM AND 55 WATTS HIGH BEAM ALL THE XENON BULBS DO IS DRAW MORE POWER ITS LIKE STICKING A 100 WATT LIGHT BULB ON A HOUSE LAMP THAT IS RATED TO MAX OUT AT 50 WATTS. THE HID ON THE OTHER HAND TAKE THAT 45 AND 55 WATT POWER AND THE CONVERTER BOX AMPLIFIES THE POWER FOR IT TO BE BRIGHTER. I HOPE THIS SIMPLE EXPLANATION HELPED A LITTLE.
