Need help replacing rear wheel hub/beerings
Hey folks, I did a search but came up dry. I replaced both outer tie rod ends and took it to a shop to have to new tires put on and have it aligned. Like always, they couldn't for one reason or another. In this case, it was because the wheel bearings in the rear on my passenger side are bad. They said they are pressed so that's not something I could do. I did a little searching and found out that the parts are sold as a hub assembly. The only problem is that I have never done this before. Do any of you have any tips for me? Is this something that can be done easily? It's super cold out right now, so I don't want to get too deep into this and kill myself doing it. I need some help soon because there are already over a thousand miles on the new tires and I don't want to kill them.
Thanks a lot.
Thanks a lot.

RE: Need help replacing rear wheel hub/beerings
take the wheel off. take off the brake drum.
use a screwdriver and pop off the steel cap in the center of the hub
Take that nut off thats under the cap, pull the whole hub / bearing assy. off. Its easy. just slides right off once the nut is removed.
you might have to tap it with a hammer it get it off. Nothing to it. Should take you 10 minutes if your good.
BTW if you have rear disc youll need to remove the caliper, bracket then the rotor then its all the same.
and please dont set the parking brake then wonder why you cant get the rear brakes apart.....
