today as i was backing out of my parking spot at school i noticed a kinda woshing noise and only in first gear when taking off. i know its not my intake or anything wooshing what else could it be? could it be the throw out bearing? im not to sure[&:]

 

whooshing noise...Im trying to think what a whoosh sounds like.....I know the a/c can make some weird noises.

You said you noticed it backing out...but you only notice it in first taking off. That confuses me....does it make the noise in reverse then also?...lol

 

yes it makes it in reverse and 1st sorry bout that. idk maybe it was just me hearing things again?

 

TOB makes a rattle noise when you shift....usually more noticable in colder weather.

 

My throwout bearing makes a lot of noise in the cold, in reverse, first, and second, then it almost goes away in 3rd.
