Default Replacing timing belt

I'm thinking about replacing the timing belt on my car. It has 105,000 miles so i think it's time. Should i change the water pump and tensioner pulley too? how much would these three parts cost? why are the 3supposed to be changed at the same time?

You change all three of them at the same time because they are hard to get to and you should do them all while you have it apart.

If your belt is in need of replacement, then so is everything else you listed. So go ahead and replace them.

Timing belt will run your between 30.00 and 45.00 dollars.

Timing idler will be about 22.00 dollars.

Water pump will run around 30.00 to 45.00 dollars.

These prices came from Autozone.com and they were for a 96 model with a SOHC since you didn't list what year or engine type you had.

it's for a 95 SOHC, but i'm pretty sure the prices are similar, is timing idler the same as tensioner pulley?

Replace the tensioner pulley. Make sure you get parts for the SOHC.
