Ok...finally found the gremlin running around my car. The genius who put the head gasket on before I bought it, miss aligned the belt. I had great 2500 rpm and above power but, off line sucked and, it idled poor. ANYWAY...After setting it up correctly, the upper rpm power is less but, I deduce it is from the intake being advanced previously. I def. want adj. gears for the dohc but, can anyone point me to a link, page or someone to let me know what to set them at for maximum power. Fuel economy is NOT a concern. Also...what cams are good? I saw a guy on youtube that had #16??? but that car was fast, na, no nos.

 

#16 would be the cams...not the gears...

 

Look at Modern Performance for your cams and cam gears.

go to a dyno and do it.

 

Not an option for me. Just wondered what others have put them at.
