Has anyone changed an egr valve on a 98 neon, we can't seem to get at it,,, also ever noticed little sensor attached to the corner of the batter tray under the battery? what is it?

 

well the sensor underneath the battery controls the cooling fans without it they would not function. Really can't help you with the egr valve because thats what iam working on right now.

 

acualy the sensor under the battery is the battery temp sensor and they will work without the sensor hooded up. I have relocated my battery to my trunk and theres no sensor attached to the plug at all and my cooling fans turn on just fine.

 

Aint no big deal to do the change just get in there and start wrenchin it will be over before you know it lol
