I am looking to see if anyone knows what the part number is for an alternator that goes on my 1989 Dakota. It is the 2.5L and is fuel injected. The other thing I would like to know is if it is internally or externally controlled. My pickup broke down while I was away and my father put a new alternator on it and the core was shipped back before we got the part number. The auto store obviously did not realize that there are several different alternators for that truck. Thanks in advance.
