finally got my truck on the road again!!
Well i been gone for a while I know but here's the updtes. I finally got the old 4x4 baack on the road again. Its a 1980 Power Wagon (although its titled as a 1979 for some reason). Originally it had a 6 cylinder slant.
now it has a 318. It has a 9 1/4/dana 44 and NP 435 combo for a drive train. Had the engine machined by a frien of mine who works at a local place (Carquest in Omaha). He did a great job. I assembled it myself though. The whole project took wwwwaaaayyyy longer thatn what I expected. This was due to various factors. I guess they would be; 1 trying to stay within a budget; 2 doing most everything myself; 3 getting creative with making various parts work that were not originally used on the truck; 4 running to the parts store/junk yard and --the biggest time waster of all --; 5 not being organized. More to come on this whole ordeal, next time I'll get into the engine build specifics...YEAH!!

I know exactly what your talking about. This last April was 2 years with my truck. Getting real close. Rebuilt tranny is going in this week if all goes well. I'm sure I'll still find things to do that I ought to leave well enough alone but that's the nature of the beast.
Congrats !!
