We had a great one in Monterey before I moved away in 1995, three tracks and a great pro shop. I went a couple times a week and had three or four cars. I hear they went the way of the Drive in theater which I also loved.

 

They are coming back around here; one of the guys at work has been to one close to here. I can remember there being a few around here when I was a little guy in the late '60's, and my dad would take me occasionally when he would go to one here. They were cool!

Only one drive-in around here now, but it's a nice one.

 

I really would love it if the drive in theater came back to Albuquerque or even Edgewood at least. It would be packed every night. I know there is a lot of nostalgia and interest in one here. As far as a solt shop goes, we have a lot of people who I thik would get really into it. Like everyone with an RC car airplane or boat because they love things like that, and anyone who went when they were younger.

 

The RC stuff seems to be taking off really well round here also. Couple of tracks and at least one place to fly.

The drive-in here is pretty decent, and stays very busy during the season. Also has some of the best cheeseburgers around.

 

I would love it if a Drive In came back to this area. Preferably in the little town just East of Albuquerque. It would give the people of Albuquerque a reason to come to Edgewood, and all the car and motorcycle clubs would go there when weather permits for rallys, club meets, and such. A well run Drive In with good food, vintage and current movies, and a manager with a brain would be a beautiful thing.
