Starting a new thread and I want to try and keep it all informational and minimize the debating. I wanna know what engines and transmissions people have made work in our trucks.

I know people have gotten the 360 magnum from a 2nd gen into the earlier 1st gen and I would assume the transmission works with the transfer case in the 1st gen but I could be wrong.

Has anyone put the 5.7 hemi in from the third or fourth gen? What about about a nice 6 speed auto or the new 8 speed?

If you know of anything that makes any of these impossible feel free to chime in.
