I have a 1990 Dodge Ram W150. Truck vibrates really hard when I get over 20mph. Lifted the front end up and the driver side wheel had some play in it. Figured it was a bad wheel bearing. As i was taking off the locking hub mechanism, a spring was jammed between the hub and the mechanism. When i moved to the front passenger side everything came off way more smoothly but there was no spring behind the locking mechanism like there was on the driver side. Where did this spring come from?? What parts should i replace?
So after I've done some more research it looks like it could be a pressure spring. But why would one side have a pressure spring behind the locking mechanism and the other not? Everything else is exactly the same.
