Default 3/4 T with 5 lug axle?

ok so is there somewhere that i can go to get more info on my truck its an 81 power ram "250 custom". now i thought the 250 designated a 3/4 ton but i have 5 lug wheels. i swear 8 lug was the usual for a 3/4 ton. can someone clarify for me?

hmm. Unless someone converted it, it should have 8 lug wheels. The other possibility is that someone swapped the badges/fenders. Check the door tag, your gross vehicle weight should be 8000-8500, somewhere around there. If it's in the 6000 pound range, it's a 1/2 ton. That won't help if someone swapped the entire cab though, so you might want to verify which axle you've got - if you've got a Dana-60 then you've got a 3/4 ton.
