Default Battery size 1987 B250

Hello everyone, I am new to this forums. I am sorry if I post this in a wrong forum or something.

I was just wondering how many ampere a battery in a 1987 dodge ram van b250 should have? We bought one without battery and got a small battery from a friend just to test but this was not enough to start the engine.

I'd get the biggest battery you can fit in there. Seriously. I know subarus put weak 450-530 cca batteries in their cars, I'd go with 750ish cca for your van. I think the gel cell I put in my w250 is in the high 800s.

most parts stores have a site where you can look up and even order parts.

stay away from WALMART batteries. their "books" dont always match what should be in the vehicle.
