Default 8274 sufficient for a ram truck??

Is a Warn 8274 sufficient for a early 80's dodge ram truck???? reg cab, 360 with 727 and d44/9 1/4 diffs?

I ask cuz I dont have doors with sticker of weight of truck????

How long of a line could I fit on an older 8274, 150' cable or synthetic rope?????

The truck will weigh between 4-5000 pounds, so an 8000 pound winch will work for a lot of situations. Don't be upset if it fails to pull you up and steep hills or out of 3 feet of mud though, it's rated for pulling 8000 pounds of free rolling weight and when you bury a 5000 pound truck it takes a lot more force to free it.
