I got a question, I got a 86 dodge ram 4x4, mods are on my sig, im putting on the 3 inch body lift and the 35's very soon. I have stock gearing right now, i want to go lower the on the gearing, I was thinking 4.10's but im not shure if thats to low... I never drive over 55 mph, most of the time im 45mph, I do alot of offroading and towing. Help would be much apreciated thanks!

I would assume 4.10s would be fine...

I can't think of any reason they wouldn't be...

I had 4.10 stock, so, it wouldn't have been any different for me.

The question is what do you really have? And why are you putting a body lift in? IMHO body lifts are for poser trucks that don't actually get used off-road. They increase the chance that your frame will detach from the body. I just traded my 86 to a buddy, but it's got a 5" lift and 35x12.5 tires and after cutting the fenders a little there are no rubbing issues, and it's a lot safer than a body lift.

If you don't spend much time on the freeway, I'd recommend 4.56 or 4.88's for the extra oomph off-road and for towing.
