Default Adding more Horsepower

I'd like to add more horsepower to my 83' D-150, Its completly stock. Slant 6, 225 I believe. Dual barrel carb. I'm on a budget aswell.

Any tips will be appreciated!

Better flowing air cleaner, carb spacer, good flowing exhuast.

Get a hotter cap and rotor. I recomend MSD, my dad's truck has had all that replaced with MSD stuff and it really woke it up. it's a cheby with a 4.3 V6 but i would say they sell it for your truck's engine.
