Custom body parts
I have been making custom body panels and grilles for chevy and ford trucks for years. I just recently bought a 84 dodge ram. Only has 77,xxx miles on it, short bed, 360/2 barrel. Nice truck, but I bought it to customize. I have made my own Billet style polished stainless steel grille, custom roll pans front and rear, center exit exhaust out of the year roll pan. I have kept all my jigs and templates. I am now wondering if there is a market for these items. I am currently working on a one of a kind tailight/brake/blinker/reverse light setup. I will take photos of all when done. I would also make a grille for any vehicle, just send me your old grill. I could also make your rollpans out of fiberglass, could make stainless roll pan inserts. All I do is custom work. So before I say bring it on, I'm just wondering if theres a market. Just post if you would buy these items. Thanks much, James Dean Customs.
You might sell a few depending on price. I've made custom body pieces before...hard part is getting enough money to make it worth your time. I made some '36-37 Cord Phaeton rocker panels at my last job but it was still a 20-24 hour part and that was after we made the templates and got set up. We sold a few at $1200/set but not a lot. Granted those pieces were a lot bigger and a lot different market...but time is money!
Main reason for posting...got any pics? I just have a beater 4x4 but I'd like to see them.

My digital camera is broke. All I have right now is a P.O.S camera phone. I'll take photos as soon as I can. The billet grilles wouldnt be that expensive, I charged $150 for standard stainless steel grilles for all my chevy and ford customers. It was $175 for polished or custom made to fit any grill, or $200 for custom fitting and polished. I made the cheapest roll pans as well. Standard rounded roll pans were only $100, rounded roll pans with cut outs for lights were $125, and rounded roll pans with custom made stainless inserts were $150 polished or satin. I am now making a hard fiberglass waterproof tonneau covers to fit 1st gen short beds, not sure on the pricing on those yet. Will do any custom body work for cheap though. Interiors, metal work, fabrication, suspension, and accessories. You name it make it or build it. Sorry about the wait for the pics though.
I am new here.
How about a front airdam for 80s truck, steel or fibo.
I have a 88 x Vdot reg cab shortbed 2wd I am working on,shaved door handles and antenna, next to go are the stock mirrors,
had newer factory sport wheels machined to fit(hub 3" to 3 1/2"),next I want to widen the rear set, lowered 2" in front 4+" in rear, working on the interior, lots more to do.

I really doubt there is any market for those items, ive looked everywhere. I would buy custom tailights, headlights, Billet grill would be awsome. I got an 86 dodge that I want to put some custom parts on.
Post some pics when you get the tail lights done.
You can also market those to the early Dakota guys since the tail lights are interchangeable.
