I think the hotter ones would work better, Bosch E3 and such. But i always stick with what factory used, and i believed that dodge used champions.[:@]

Dodge used Champions from the factor I think...I put in some Champion Truck Plugs because Autozone had them on sale for .99 each. I don't really like the Bosch Platinums but the AC Delcos seem to be really good plugs if you want to spend the money.

The best ones IMO are double platinums, more so because the elements resist erosion twice as long as standard plugs, extending the replacement intervals, time is money and I don't got an hour to replace these things every dang 10 or 20k miles, 2x platinums tend to last 40,000 miles.

1x platinums only half the equation resists erosion, and 4x's to me are overkill, something like 25-30 bucks for all 8 2x's.

APP5224 cross-x's to RJ-12YC
That's Autolite - Champion

I recently purchased an 87 d-150 with a 318. I had several of these trucks in the 80`s when I had a delivery service.The only plugs that work well in these engines are Champions.That is what they came with from the factory.When I bought my 87,it had autolites in it and it idled really bad.I switched to Champions and it ran better immediately.Hope this helps

Chrysler = Champions
Ford = Motocraft
GM = Acdelco
Honda/Acura = NGK
VW = Bosch
Other Europeans i have no clue what they use
Autolites are just after market company, but used to be aFord productbut Ford sold them

Don Schumacher racing uses autolites.You would thinkif theyre good enough for those Mopar beasts they should work pretty well in a 318 or 360.

Years ago Chrysler products came with autolite plugs, distributors,generators,and starters. But time changes everything.
