Default Dana 44 replacement question

I am currently in the process of replacing the broken front axle on my 1988 Power Ram W100. My question is since my truck has the auto locking hubs, does it have to be an axle from a Power Ram to work right? Or will an axle from any Dodge 4X4 work? Also, about what would you say the salvage yard prices for these axles running? Thanks for the help.

Default RE: Dana 44 replacement question

Has long as it has auto lockers also. I had to put a rear dana 44 in my truck after the 8.25 failed. Mine cost $240.
