Default Exhaust question

I'm going to put a true dual exhaust on my truck 2 pipes back all the way. Where do i mount the O2sensor, i'm cutting the cat out and putting it back in, so where should i put it? Left or right side? I thought about an X-pipe and then putting it in the middle of it, so the sensor would read from both cylinder banks not just one side. But that would be cost more and it gonna be almost $200 as is.

Well, the second O2 sensor reads the composition of the exhaust gas after the cat. So if you are removing the cat it isn't going to work right anyway...even if it is reading both cylinders. I've seen some places that sell O2 simulators designed for just what you are trying to do. The sensor basically changes resistance depending on the air/fuel mixture. So some companies have made up resistor packs that give the right reading for a correct air/fuel mix so the computer doesn't get confused. I'd try and find one of those..then just plug it in and tie the wires up out of the way. Maybe try a search for O2 sim.

No, i have only got one sensor before the cat and i knowremoving it will kill my engine (because it was like that for a while than it started acting up, white smoke)and being before the cat, i can cut the converterout.
