You're in the right place. These trucks are cheap but have very little aftermarket support. Not a lot of information available either. But I've worked the **** out of my '81 1/2 ton 4x4 and have grown to like it.

well i bought it today cause i thought maybe it had a Dana 60 in the front. i figure for $700 bucks i didn't get hurt. it has a Big Block and what i believe to be a 747 tranny?? the guy told me it had a dana 60 but i'm 90% sure it doesn't. also said the BB was a 400. do they make those. I know Chevy and Ford do but thought dodge went from 383 to 426?or 440.hope i don't get flamed for this but i've been a Chevy guy my whole life. just new to dodge and such. any help is thanked and i'll get pics soon i hope

The 400 replaced the 383,the 400 was the emission motor but it has potential,it has a little higher compression,a 440 bottom end in it will yield a 450 cid.
The trans is probably a 727.

Thanks for the info. Any idea why it wouldn't have lockouts. I know about fulltime 4WD. The circle in thecenter of the wheel on the front kinda reminds me of what a semifloater looks like in the rear. Sorry if that's confusing but it's the best way to describe it i think.
